The Vaccines, high in the pantheon of indie-rock today released a covers EP to tide fans over until their imminent fifth album, featuring the likes of Buffalo Springfield and The Tornadoes. Today they also shared a video for their cover of Wanda Jackson’s ‘Funnel of Love’.
To celebrate the EP, the band – together with Jägermeister Musik – announced a competition for which fans have the chance to win custom band-themed record player, created by meister craftsman Gareth Neal. The Vaccines will be choosing the winner based upon submissions of fans’ DIY record players, grading them on their creativity.

Frontman Justin Hayward-Young explains the reasoning behind the competition:
“As life continues to feel like it’s stuck on loop, we’ve come up with a way to keep things turning and get creative with the piles of empty pizza boxes and coffee cups by creating a DIY record player”.
Hopeful fans will need to submit their DIY record player creations to entries@jaegermeister.co.uk, and tag The Vaccines/Jägermeister or #funneloflove on a social media post of their creation by the deadline date of March 23rd. All entrants must be aged 18 or over.
