DIY artist YNES has released her newest single, ‘Better Job’.
A complete destruction of Rishi Sunak’s words last year regarding creatives in the entertainment industry; YNES breaks apart the idea that those working in the arts industry should get ‘Better Job(s)’, countering with the line: “you can throw away your DVDs, you can unsubscribe from Netflix, and delete your music library“.
A punky, drum and guitar heavy track, ‘Better Job’ is a powerful summary of the pressures and obstacles artists are currently facing – a passionate rant fuelled by the thousands of voices desperate for more government support.
The new single is YNES’ first release of 2021, after releasing multiple singles throughout last year.
