‘Wimbledon’ is the latest single from Bristol four-piece, Kimbo Nice.
With their instinctively sunny riffs, the band’s latest venture lands somewhere between psych-pop and indie rock, speeding through fast choruses before slowing into drawn out, guitar-heavy melodic solos.
Noting that the track was written “at a time when our vocalist (Ali Topan) was tired with working his job on a building-site”, Kimbo Nice discuss how ‘Wimbledon’ explores finding solace within writing music, with a message of finding self-belief and care.
The new release is the band’s first single of the year, and comes after the release of ‘Joop! Homme’ in September last year.
