Beloved rock quartet, Wolf Alice, are finally back with a new song.
Debuted as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World on Radio 1, ‘The Last Man On Earth’ is the band’s first single since they released their last record, ‘Visions Of Life’ back in 2017.
Heavily evocative, ‘The Last Man On Earth’ contains a powerful build up of compelling vocals and stirring instrumentation, rising into a cathartic release of emotional energy, whilst being enclosed in an air of melancholy.
Speaking to Annie Mac, lead vocalist Ellie Rowsell described ‘The Last Man On Earth’ as “a new, grander Wolf Alice”; after the band took the track to the studio last year, recording with strings and choir-esque vocals.
The new release is the first single from the bands’ upcoming album, ‘Blue Weekend’.
