After being formed in 2012 by multi-instrumentalist and producer Lawrence Johnson, Heurt has released a host of singles over the past few years whilst based in Nottingham.
His latest offering, ‘After Party’ is an escapist pop track, layering deep basslines with raw vocal hooks and atmospheric synth beats. Although his earlier single, ‘Be Someone (Else)’ was a little more upbeat in its melodic exploration, ‘After Party’ takes a more melancholic approach, focusing on subtlety and soul, whilst maintaining a similar line of relationship-centred lyricism.
The new single is the latest from Heurt’s upcoming EP, ‘Velvet’, set to be released soon.
