London via Leeds artist, Phoebe Marshall has released her newest single, ‘Dicksand’.
Produced by Leeds-based Chris Mulligan, ‘Dicksand’ is Marshall’s first single release since her relocation to London, marking the beginning of her next step into her music career.
Backed by echoing pop beats, ‘Dicksand’ falls into an honest depiction of attempting to escape from the desperate need for validation; recognising that change is needed, whilst worrying you’ll fall into the same traps as before. Dominated by rich vocals and synth-heavy instrumentals, the track feels like 2000s alt-pop with a melancholic modern twist.
The new release is Marshall’s third single of the year.
