London-based group, Phantom Isle, have released their latest single, ‘Whip’.
Dominated by synth-heavy melodies and nods to 80s pop, ‘Whip’ feels fiercely cool; a welcome burst of colour in slightly dark times. Speaking about the new track, drummer, Sam Thorne, said he tried to “make the song as danceable as possible”, whilst the lyricism became a throwback to his teenage years.
‘Whip’ is Phantom Isle’s third single of the year, and follows on from their previous release, ‘Mar V’.
