Brighton duo, Royal Blood, have released their first single in three years, ‘Trouble’s Coming’.
Diving into a new groovier sound, ‘Trouble’s Coming’, layers funk-laced basslines with addictive vocal hooks and disco-type drum beats, swirling into a soft breakdown, before bouncing into a final, dancefloor filling outro.
Speaking to Annie Mac about the new release, lead singer, Mike Kerr, spoke about how the duo spent time trying to discover a fresher feel, leading to them infusing inspirations from dance music into their classic rock sound.
Royal Blood’s third record is set to be released next year.
