Upcoming Leeds artist, JWestern, has released his debut single, ‘Call You Right Now’.
Backed by a light groove, ‘Call You Right Now’ draws on catchy chorus hooks and mellowed vocals, bringing in funky bass rhythms and sunny waves of guitars. Speaking about the track, JWestern notes that “lyrically the song really became my outlet”, after experiencing a rough patch in his relationship, saying “I remember lying in bed and pretty much writing all the lyrics in one night, with the chords going round and round in my head; it felt like everything had been building up in my mind for so long that it all just needed to be let out.”
Inspired by the likes of Tom Misch, Steve Lacy, and King Krule, ‘Call You Right Now’ is JWestern’s first release, after recently signing to Heist or Hit.
