Soundtracked – August 2nd

*TRACK OF THE WEEK*: ‘My Muse’ – Elephant Castle : The latest single from Elephant Castle explores bright vintage tones and dreamy harmonies, with lyricism surrounding the process of creating music, and the ups and downs which fall within it. FFO: Pond

‘Your Blue’ – Peach Luffe : Toronto-based artist, Peach Luffe’s newest release explores “missing someone who lives far away”, marked by mellowed vocal tones and calming instrumentals, and sparkling with soft keys and synths. FFO: Temporex

‘Head Can’t Be Turned’ – Yoji : Golden soul with vibrant vocal hooks and delicate guitars, the new release from London-born artist, Yoji, celebrates love and trust within a relationship, referencing the Love Island popularised phrase, ‘heads will turn’. FFO: Raveena

‘Roll of the Dice’ – King No-One : The latest release from Manchester-based band, King No-One, bounces through anthemic harmonies and sizzling riffs into irresistibly catchy choruses, with lead singer, Zach explaining: “this world is crazy, and sometimes you have to just accept that you can only do so much – the rest is a roll of the dice.” FFO: Sundara Karma

‘San Francisco’ – Jude Shuma : Written and recorded in his home studio; the new single from Chicago-based artist, Jude Shuma, sees groovy vocal hooks roll over surging drum beats and swirling guitars, conveying dreams of moving to the West Coast. FFO: Vansire

‘Daydreamer’ – Boshe : Leeds-based artist Boshe’s latest release is brimming with twinkling instrumentals and breezy vocals, developing into a soothing pop track surrounding a blissful daydream feel. FFO: Lana Del Ray

‘What I Did’ – Scarlet Cimillo : Warm vocals glide over a sunny, acoustic-focused backdrop with sweet brass sections and playful lyricism, in the new track from US artist, Scarlet Cimillo. FFO: Joy Crookes

‘June Gloom’ – Tricks : The latest single from Los Angeles duo, Tricks, finds subtle instrumentals and layered production, with rhythmic verses and soft choruses. The track was released as the second part of a split single. FFO: Mauvey

‘Jetta’ – Grey Oakes : The nostalgic new release from North Carolina artist, Grey Oakes features smooth vocal hooks and authentic lyricism, crafting a coming of age pop track filled with gentle summer vibes. FFO: Tom Misch

‘Drift’ – Oscar Welsh : Taken from his debut EP, ‘Vernal’, Oscar Welsh’s new release, ‘Drift’, layers flowing harmonies with sun-doused guitar notes and glossy production. FFO: Still Woozy
