London pop group, Deco, have just released their debut EP, ‘Real Life’.
Packed with glittering anthems with hints of 80s pop, the duo bring catchy lyric hooks to shining synth-heavy melodies. Opening with the aptly titled ‘I Don’t Wanna Go Out’, before jumping straight into the vibrant, funk-filled ‘Make Up Your Mind’, the ‘Real Life’ EP is a rollercoaster of summery synth-pop, blending softer ballads, with energetic, groove-packed bangers.
Lead single and title track, ‘Real Life’, is where frontman Max Kendall’s vocals shine most. Backed by a power driven bassline, John Dell’s guitar work adds an element of tropicality to the track, crafting a perfect poolside tune. Final track of the EP, ‘Beaches’ is much more subtle in style, drawing on echoing instrumentation and mellow vocals.
Over the past year, Deco have toured with the likes of Casey Lowry and Jess Glynne, and are set to play shows with Bang Bang Romeo and Marsicans later this year.
All iTunes profits from the EP will be donated to UK charity, Homeless Link.
