Brighton five-piece, SLANT, have released their debut single, ‘Haircut’.
Commanding vocals backed by blazing instrumentation, SLANT bring witty lyricism to energetic punk melodies, with the band noting that ‘Haircut’ puts forward a “social commentary on how to break out of the social mould.”
Fronted by Katy Smith and Frankie Stanley, along with Luke Norman (guitar), James Virtue (bass) and Aurora Bennett (drums), the group take inspiration from glam rock and post punk, merging grainy riffs with streamlined chorus hooks.
