Gecko Club release debut EP ‘Roots’

London based indie band Gecko Club have just released their first EP – and it’s certainly one to listen to.

The ‘Roots’ EP sees the band’s energetic melodies mellow out, becoming more laidback, yet staying equally as exotic sounding as earlier tracks ‘Rainbow’ and ‘High Flyer’. Surf-rock riffs, summery hooks, and unmistakably catchy choruses will leave you feeling ready to bounce straight into festival season.

The EP was recorded in River Studios, Southampton in April 2018 and produced by Matthew Parisi. Consisting of three tracks, ‘Faro’, ‘Roots’ and ‘Mild High’, the chilled vibes contrast the first two Gecko Club singles, providing the listeners with a better understanding of the band’s sound.

Gecko Club have already filled out various London venues such as O2 Islington and Hoxton Square Bar and had their first sold out show to a bustling Camden Assembly in January 2019 – and after this exciting release, the band are sure to take on even bigger venues, bringing their tropical melodies and groovy riffs across the UK.
