After two albums and five years touring, English alt-rock band Spring King have decided to ‘call it a day’.
The band, who first began as a solo project of songwriter/producer/drummer Tarek Musa, posted a message to social media announcing their split. The message thanks the fans who have supported them, stating that they are ‘immeasurably grateful’.
The band have also decided to cancel their upcoming shows in London and Manchester, saying ‘We felt like it would be a disservice to the music and to all of you if our hearts weren’t fully in it.’
Although, the message ends on a hopeful note for fans: ‘Until we meet again, take care and look after yourself’ – showing that whether the next projects are solo, or together, this isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of the Spring King boys.
